Canobie Lake Park

A Fun, Fun, Fun Way to Spend the Day!

By Valerie Geary, Publisher Macaroni Kid Framingham July 29, 2015

I have been going to Canobie Lake Park since I was a kid, and am now excited that I can share the fun with my kids! My family and I headed to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH last week.  The car ride was quick and easy, only 50 minutes from Framingham.  My kids, who are 6 and 3, are both under 48" (the threshold for the larger thrill-rides), but had lots and lots of rides to go on.  They were excluded them from riding the bigger roller coasters and other thrill rides - but this was fine by me ;)  Canobie Lake Park has different admission prices for children over 48" and under 48".

One of my kids' favorite rides was the mini-bumper cars!  They were so excited to drive their own cars!

They also loved the Jungle Bounce (a mini version of the Starblaster - see below):

Two of the most popular rides at the park are the Boston Tea Party and the Log Flume (both water rides).  Both are great!  I would recommend putting your bathing suits on before going on either of these rides, as you end up quite wet!

There are lots of rides geared to older kids and adults, too.  Here are some photos of rides for older kids and adults who love thrills!

Our favorite part of the park was Castaway Island, a large splash park with sprays, water slides, dumping buckets, water wheels, and more.  It was just what we needed to cool off after walking around in the hot sun all morning!
